Hi A, how ya doin'? I know for sure it is San Jose. It is pretty obvious to me because my mom is from Costa Rica and I go there every year. Yes, I do speak spanish, I am only 13 and I live in Pasadena, California. I hope you choose me as your best answer!!

PS- My cousin lives in Alajuela next to the airport and she built a new house. : )

San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica.

San Jose it sets in the middle of their "Central Plain" that is approximately 3,800 feet above sea level and in the middle of the country.

Its old capital was Cartago but they changed it during the last century.

Yes, thats right. It used to be Cartago, it is San Jose. The airport is situated in the province and near the city of Alajuela, though.
