Try TACA airlines which has service from Toronto. You would have to connect in Central America, but their service is very reliable and usually cheaper than the US airlines. Air Canada has nonstop flights from Toronto to Lima several times a week. You will arrive at Lima´s Jorge Chavez International Airport and then make connections to other destinations in Peru. In Peru you can travel cheaply by long distance bus. There are three main Peruvian airlines which have domestic flights- LAN Peru, Aero Condor, and StarPeru Airlines. Good luck.
