What is the cost of gas in Panama right now?
I'm planning to move there in a year and I want to buy a car but I don't know if I will be able to afford the gas. I'll be living in Chorrera and travelling to Panama City every day.
Right now prices are (per gallon):
Gasoline premium: 3.50 USD
Gasoline 91 octanes: 3.28 USD
Diesel premium: 3.20 USD
Diesel regular: 3.15 USD
Prices are revised every two weeks and the new prices depend on the crude oil price.
These prices have been about the same for the last 6 months and you will find different prices at every gas station BUT they will differ only 3 to 5 cents up or down depending the area where they are.
From Panama to Chorrera there are an average of 18 miles.
Hope it helps you!!

About 3 bucks for a gallon of gas give and take a few pennies here and there seems to be anout the correct price.
As for driving from Chorrera to Panama City, please be advised that you are better off living in Panama rather than commuting every single day to go to and from your house to your job.
Should you need a real estate company, may I suggest that you use Century 21 because they provided results. If, in case you need another, Century 21 isn't any good then please go to Ventas y Proyectos (they are located on Balboa Avenue) and by all means you may reach them at 011 - (507) 214 - 2376.
Good luck in moving to Panama and also feel the warmth and kindness that Panama has to offer.

You can fill up the tank with 60 bucks because right now it is approximate $ 3.09 per gallon.

I live in the out skirts of Chicago, Illinois and just got back from vacation in Panama. Gas is the same there as it is here. Good luck with driving in the traffic of Panama City. Traffic hours in Panama are like the worse traffic jams in NY City or Los Angeles or Chicago Freeways or I guess you can say as bad as in any major city in the USA.
