What is the name of the language people from El Salvador spoke before the Spaniards came?

the only reason we speak spanish is because of them but I was born in the land of El Salvador, where, if the Spaniards didn't invade then I would be speaking a different language, what is the name of this Language, and why is it that ppl from El Salvador do not speak it or even know about it? WHY should we be forced to talk the language of the Spaniards?

Nahuatl is the dialect, but it is extremely difficult to find anyone that actually still speaks the language.

It's called Nahuatl

BIGTHINGS ..
The reason we speak Spanish is b/c we are mestizos, we are both part indigenous and Spanish, the difference between those two civilizations is one was more dominant than the other, over the years the Spanish culture overwhelmed the indigenous people hence our present day traditions. No matter how you look at things we are part of the two worlds that mixed and made who we are, what language did the pre-Spanish people speak? some say nahuatl I don't know how true that is.

lilguanaco19
well most people say we used to talk Nahuatl
