August is Hot along both coasts and especially humid. The highlands experience humidity but are somewhat cooler, in the 80's day and 70's night.
August also brings storms up from the Caribbean and they can often be hit or miss. |

It depends whether you are in the Mountains or the lowlands. The 26 degrees celsius quoted is about right for the highland areas (Monteverde, Central Valley etc.) but it will probably be at least 10 degrees Farenheit warmer along the coast. |
