There is some truth to all the answers....The rainy season starts in May and runs through November.....Most the time it's an afternoon shower that starts about 1:30....Sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes a few hours......Everything is so Richy green that time of year....I've never seen it in the 90's here....The humidity near the beach is a bit higher than in San Jose area...Before I moved here I came a few times..It takes a couple days to adjust to the humidity at the beaches.....I'm about 20Min's from San Jose and the temp has never been more than 84.......Hope you make it down..Pura Vida

HOT!!

In San Jose and the mountains it will be relatively cool-- you may never see 70 degrees. In the high areas it tends to be sunny in the morning and rainy in the afternoon. It is hot in the lowlands (high 80s to 90) but it is cooler than earlier in the year. It is the rainy season.
