What is there to do in Miraflores??

Miraflores offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from its high cliffs. Yes, there is too much traffic – indeed, the most danger I ever felt in Peru was trying to get across the street – but it also offers many places to get away from the tumult and relax

One unexpected surprise in Miraflores was the Parque del Amor, a park on the cliffs overlooking the ocean devoted to romance. The poet Antonio Cilloniz had lamented that "In the cities, they do not build monuments to lovers," a reaction, no doubt, to all the monuments in South America (and everywhere else) devoted to those who had distinguished themselves in battle by either winning or dying. Miraflores decided to prove the exception and built the Parque del Amor, which features a prominent statue of two lovers in a passionate embrace over Cilloniz's words. (Can you imagine

For a bit of fun in Miraflores, try the small street between Parque Kennedy and Bellavista, locally known as the "calle de las pizzas" (pizzas street). It is one big tourist trap, but on the other hand you are guaranteed to meet other travelers in high spirit.
At the end of Av. Larco you can find the LarcoMar amusement area, with spectacular views of the beaches, about 40 meters below it, and the Pacific Ocean, and the usual western style shopping mall shops and fast food chains.
The Haiti cafe in Miraflores, Avenida Diagonal 160, is the meeting place for intellectuals.
Café de la Paz [1] is another excellent choice, right in front of the Kennedy Park. Peruvian-french food, very trendy and bohemian atmosphere. Excellent Pisco Sour. ==
Nebula, Gonzalez Prada 194 (between cuadra 50 and 51 of Av. Arequipa), Miraflores, is a disco with music from the darker part of the eighties, quite close to Plaza Kennedy.
For jazz music, instead, Miraflores holds a couple of good options: Jazz Zone, Avenida La Paz 656, and Satchmo.

Of course it depends on the time you have to spend there.
You may start at the Villena Rey park, superb view of the Pacific Ocean, cross the bridge, watch the "Lovers" statue and walk along the Malecon Boulevard until you reach LarcoMar, an open Shopping Mall facing the ocean just in front of Marriot Hotel. Still walking, head to Barranco, the Bohemian Disctrict ( and old colonial area ).
In Miraflores you have two excellent indian Markets, good prices, spectacular handycrafts. Visit the Central Park, in front of the Mayor´s Office.
When hungry, go to "La Mar", maybe the best peruvian restaurant so far.
Fancy museums? Visit the "Amano" ( authentic ancient textiles ) and the "Polli", both by appointment.

let see, we got museums, clubs, paragliding, pubs, libraries, shopping malls, Indian markets.

There's an information centre located in Parque Kennedy, this is in the center of miraflores, you can ask there for information and ride the Miraflores bus called the Mirabus.
