We have two seasons, the rainy one and the not so rainy. Usually the temperature is between 18-25, now days rains a lot.
Bugs: depends where you go, if you visit rain forest there a many bugs, San Jose less, beaches more, etc . . .

Tropical, so yes, it does rain a lot during the rainy season, and there are lots of bugs just like any tropical country.

I think in June there are a lot of bugs. Then they just disappear and don't come out again until next mating season.
In the wet season it rains nearly every afternoon sometimes hard sometimes soft.
Otherwise nice, warm and tropical all year around.

very hot...very wet... LOTS of bugs!...BIG ones...and they bite too!! some of the most diverse insect life on the planet!!!...i had one land on me that was as big as my finger..and it had lights on it.!! really!!
