Peru has over 80% of the world's ecosystems. Every valley, every town is unique, with different sites and cultures. Obviously, there are Cuzco, Macchu Piccu, the Amazon, the Nazca lines, Iquitos, Lake Titicaca and others as points of interest to visit. We were entirely taken in with the Andean people who live by three rules: 1. do not steal, 2. do not lie, and 3 (according to the locale) do not kill, or do not be lazy. If you go to Peru, be prepared to take a lot of time to do a little. It is not the cosmopolitan, mechanized West. Also be prepared to experience a lot of poverty, and children who will break your heart. Yet, I never heard a complaint from anyone. Outside Lima, the people are hardworking, moral, simple people with smiles that are truly genuine. If you want an experience that will transform you, choose Peru. We did, and our lives will never be the same.
