Our traditional dress is La Pollera (for women) and El Montuno (for men). It is a beautiful handcrafted dress, that women wear with at least 7 golden chains, every one of them with a special meaning.
We only use it for festivals, carnivals, your know, like every other country uses their national dress.

The men usually wear pants ahd shorts while the females wera blouses and skirts to work.

On their day off, the men can normally wear shorts with t - shirts while the women can do something similiar to that.

If they want to go to the beach, there are plenty of of beachs in Panama to select from, then they will to get a change of clothes because I don't think it is healthy for anybody who just finished swimming should go into a car and drive himself or herself home.

You will find that people in Panama wear pretty much the same type of clothing you will find anywhere in the west.

Panama has many modern, bustling metropolitan areas that caters to international tourists and businessmen.

Each state has its traditional clothing but its only worn when performing in cultural exhibitions.

Hope this helps.

being a female you do have to take into consideration is that certain goverment offices and places such as churches require women to dress in a certain way, no shorts or mini skirts etc. I know a few years ago it was no pants for ladies in some places but that could have changed by now. Also men are dogs and will "holler" at you walking down the street. So you might want to dress conservative if you want to avoid the idiots.

I wouldn't know what the tradicional outfit in Panama is, but people wear western clothes like lots of jeans and tops, dresses, skirts, and etc... It is a hot country so many summer clothes.
