Their most recent form of currency is called the Nuevo Sol.

They were put in circulation to replace their former currency, the inti, due to hyperinflation. For instance, 1 Nuevo sol is equal to 1 million inti. Kinda like how Lyra were in Italy.

They also use centimo coins, which have an exchange rate of 100 centimo to 1 Nuevo sol.

They currently mint centimo coins in 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cent denominations, Nuevo sol coins in 1, 2, and 5 sol denominations. And paper bank notes in 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 soles denominations.

Nuevo Sol (PEN) is Peru's currency

They also used the Peruvian Inti (PEI) for sometime.

However, major foreign currencies are accepted in Peruvian tourist shops.
