The experience of visiting another country and culture. We live in such a bubble in the US. There is so much to see and experience outside of these borders.

I've vacationed there once before and would love to go again. The resorts are very reasonably priced, the food is great, the people are extremely friendly. I felt safe on the excursions to a couple of cities as well as on a day trip to a zoo, rain forest, and village. I love trying to speak Spanish, but many people speak English as well. American currency is used, so there was no need for money exchange. We were at about 8 or 9 degrees north latitude in mid-April, and the weather was in the mid 80s everyday with a nice breeze off the Pacific Ocean everyday. There was not a drop of rain, and the temperature was in the 70s at night; perfect for me! Sunsets were beautiful, as was the rainforest. We learned that Panama contains more species of animals than any other country in the world. Good luck with your project!

well, I am foreign; and I live in Panama, many years...and I love it
because, the economy is very good, the prices ..everityng is cheap. You can live very well here, and dont need to much money..You can have housekeeper by $150.00 at month or less( they clean, they cook, they wash clothes, they take care the kids..),you can be in one good hotel at $80.00 at day..or 35.oo ,depend the location, you can eat a good big pittza at $8.00,
you paya t month $6.00 the water to the goverment....and much more..

This is a beautiful country small but has a lot to offer. First of all we have one of the seven wonders of the world which is the Panama Canal. Now if you would like to learn in detail on how it was constructed I suggest a book entitled the path between the seas The creation of the panama Canal 1870-1914 David McCullough. Here in Panama you can still see what were the old bases of the United States that were turned over in 1999 and you can observe the new changes it is having. Here in Panama we have excellent Fishing and we are talking salt water fishing and fresh water fishing. You could do scuba diving which panama has excellent areas for this. Spear Fishing, Bay Cruises, Whale watching, in addition you can do a canal bay tour. If you are into bird watching we a paradise here. We have excellent Eco-tour like coiba national park. If you are into history you can have a city tour and visit El casco viejo panama viejo etc. And my other things that you can imagine and make it a reality.
