What to do in colombia? |
I want to live in colombia (Cali and Medellin) for 6 months to perfect my spanish.
What could i do there as work(serious work, I do not want to do any kind of drug dealing so don't even bother replying with drugs)? I don't want to sit around the house all day long.

Do you have a work permit ? f you earn any income while you are overseas, you may be required to pay tax on that income. You should check the rules and regulations with that country’s Embassy or Consulate before you leave the United States, or consult the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Hey! I'm Colombian!
I suggest going to the local mall (Buenavista is the best!). Also, go to Frisby or a restaurant that they don't have here in the US. Crepes & Waffles is an AMAZING place to eat! Watch movies in Spanish.
I don't think you can work there, without a permit. If you can, I suggest a restaurant. I don't think you should work there on vacation, just go out to the local hangouts. |

just go out have fun, go to the clubs restaurants and learn how we colombians live the highlife. i hate drugs so dont think of that as the high life. but yea just get out there talk to people, have sum fun. but be carefull there is malign ppl out there too so carry a hand gun( you dont have to use it i am just suggesting to be prepared) but yes the more you go out the more you use your lenguage the better

Have you thought about perhaps attending university there for a semester? That would probably help.
To work legally you would need a work permit. Perhaps you might be able to work off the books as a waitress or something like that. |
