What was the impact of the Spanish on Mexico and the rest of Central and South America?

Absolutely everything! You have to remember that in what now is Mexico we had the Aztec civilization and in South America we had the Inca civilization. The stories are amazing and too complex to state here but in Mexico the Spanish arrived in the year, month, and week that the prophecy of Quetzequatal told of the return of that god. There is more to the story but Moctezuma "invited" Cortez into what is now Mexico City where he was taken prisoner and killed. Think of it - a few boatloads of conquistadores conquering an entire empire outnumbered thousands to one. In South America Pizaro showed up right after a bloody civil war between two Inca rulers. He conquered the empire with a few boatloads and also outnumbered thousands to one. With the conquest the ancient cultures were lost, the catholic religion was installed, political divisions were created, the Spanish language introduced, enslavement of both populations, and more. Your topic is a big one so read "The conquest of New Spain" by Bernal Díaz del Castillo. He was a conquistador who was with Cortez and gives a first hand account of the the adventure.

nothing... because before of the getting of the spanish in Mexico, Central and South America, there was not nothing country...
there were only NATIVES, INDIGENOUS... that languages came with the european colonizaters... (as USA with the british and the english)

because, there´s not a "raza latina" as most american believe, w are the product of a mixxing between Spanish and Natives... and in caribbean places there was important african influence...

PS:
Belize is in Centrl America and they talk english
Brasil is in South American, and they talk portuguese
Guyana is in South America, and they talk english
Suriname is in South America, and they talk dutch and urdu (indu-pakistani ethnic group)
Haiti is in Latin America, and they talk french

It was really possitve and negative.

It was possitive in the sense that they colonized and brought this counties to the modern centuries. The people where indigineous and really primitive eevnthough their had made real break throughs in astronmy like the Egytians. The Spanish showed them how to build houses, boats, taught them about comerce and trade. They built beautifull cities (ANTIGUA GUATEMALA is one) and htey brought religion.

The negative side was, that they destroyed the temples, ruins, they completely killed the culture, forced to learn CASTELLANO, slave them and because of thier influence many of the customs thye had where lost.

In South America only 30% of the inhabitants speak Spanish, 50% speak Portuguese, and 20% speak other languages (French, English, Dutch and Amerindian dialects).

Central America
Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Barbados, Bahamas, Granada, Jamaica,Santa Lúcia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, speaks English.
Cuba, República Dominicana, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, they speak Spanish.
Haiti speaks Krèyol (Creole) and French
