The best way is to put it in your checking account and then use an ATM card to withdraw cash when you're in Colombia.
Any other method is very likely to involve either high transaction fees, poor exchange rates, or both. |

The best, sefest and easiest way is through Western Union.
All you do is create an account in the UK, deposit your GBPs and once you get to Colombia you withdraw your COPs.
Check where you nearest agent is located and give them a call for details http://www.westernunion.com/info/selectCountry.asp
There literally countless Western Union agents in Colombia and in almost all shopping centres.

Are you transfering it in the UK or in Colombia?
It is easiest to convert US $ in Latin America, I found it very difficult finding places that would convert anything except US $. |
