Where are most llamas in Peru?
I'm thinking about vacationing in Peru. I really like llamas and that's one of the main reasons I'm going. I'm wondering where most llamas are in Peru. I want to stay in an all inclusive hotel preferably somewhere near the ocean, but I want a llama farm or something near it. Thanks in advance!
Sorry. No can do. Llamas are indigenous to the Andes and are most comfortable at altitudes above the 2,000 meters above sea level. You will find some llamas in the coast, particularly at Zoos, but it is unlikely that you will find may llamas roaming about.
Arequipa, Cuzco, Puno.... those are the regions were you are likely to find llamas in large quantities, but they are up in te andes and nowhere close to the ocean.

Llamas are the beasts of burden in the Andes. Fifty years ago, they were seen often in the markets in cities like Lima and Arequipa. However, these days they are most likely to be found near the market cities in the mountains.
