Like a previous person said, it depends on what you want to do. The beaches are nice and you can go to el Zunzal if you enjoy surfing, Costa del Sol, Costa Azul. Suchitoto is a nice town that has a similar feeling to Antigua Guatemala (but smaller). There area couple of nice restaurants there. La Palma is a town full of artisans up on the mountains where you can see colorful designs painted on wood.

anywhere is excelente, the people are friendly and warm,unlike rude arrogant greedy,xenophobic USA people
and lots better than Costa Rica, lotz better

Hey! I recommend to go to Zona Rosa is very nice to gang there for all night long but you can go to the Beaches try to go to Costa del Sol. I grew up there but I move to LA. but then I move to Washington DC. and now I'll go just for Vacation and every time is like the firs time. (I been in America for 23 years). |

Hi, I travelled through El Salvador but have to admit it didn't compare too well with Guatemala or Nicaragua. And we didn't stay long. There was a couple of lovely places though... La Palma and Suchitoto in the north. Both lovely picturesque towns in amazing surroundings. Very quiet at night-time though.
Out of all the capital cities in Central America, San Salvador was the nicest, it had an amazingly weird church that looked like an aircraft hangar. Also a road with some great pubs and bars a couple of kilometres north of a huge mall.
Santa Ana is a nice town apparently, but we never went.
Eat Pupusas. They are great. |
