I would reccomend that you get your TESOL certification to teach English which is in demand in any country. Getting a work Visa might be the hard part, however. I love Colombia Bogota is safe and there are lots and lots of things to see and do. The beaches in Cartagena and Santa Marta are nice and if you want to get away go to San Andres /Providencia. Venezuela, Boliva, are not stable. Also look at Guayquil. Very nice place and very stable and the currency is the dollar. |

I would say Panama City
A lot safer than many other cities in Latin america, close to the United States and is the third city to live in in the all Latin America (after Buenos Aires and Montevideo) but im sure can find better jobs in Panama City coz first i assume you have a good English (believe me if you can speak in English that gurantees a job there) and the economy is quiet good and getting better in Panama... |

I would recommend to you, Nicaragua (not to its capital but rather to the north side of it). Although I know that Nicaragua is not in South America.
Food it so delicious. To visit a whole month with commodities you will make it with under a thousand dollars. Transportation is very cheap.
About finding a job is the hard part; you need to be bilingual and work in the tourist area or for the government; these are the only places which you will be able to earn for a living.
There are only two seasons: Raining or Sunny.
You'll have fun there. I strongly recommend it. At least 2 weeks. |

I wouldn't recommend Bogota, Colombia it is rather dangerous for tourists because of the FARC and the kidnapping occurring there. A good city in South America that I would suggest is Santiago, Chile. It has great weather and you have the mountains and ocean that are great for a weekend away. |
