definitely peruvian food is the best in south america, not only for the variety but for the taste too.
Anything you try here has a delicious taste.
Seafood is maybe the best, but some dishes with chicken are delicious too, for example: pollo a la brasa, causa limeña, etc.
With meat we have delicious dishes too like Lomo saltado mmmm yummy !!!
And our peruvian - chinese food is too good !!!!
I think you must try peruvian food and you´ll be agree with me
But is obvius, anothers countries here have good dishes too |

I would say Colombia because it's my country. Of course, Gastronomy in my country is very rich, but every country has their own special food...i can tell you food from Colombia more, such as bandeja paisa, empanadas, arepa, sancocho, ajiaco, arroz con coco...but i know all the countries have especialities. Brazil is more meat, Peru is the ceviche and chicken... |

I have to laugh at the guy who thinks they all have rice, beans and tortillas from mexico to chile. he hasn't been on the continent I suppose.
Brazil has the best overall in my opinion, and the Rodizio is fnatastic and cheap, no matter where you go.
Argentina has great Steak, but Italian is a bit lower than brazil's and seafood is only good in the south and Chile beats it overall (far more selection). Argentina has the best game (venison, jabali and cordero in Patagonia)

Depending on what you call "best".
Argentina have great beef, pastas, pizzas and ice cream
don't ask for chili, tacos or salsa.
They have a very European taste, way different from the rest of Latin America. |
