I would love to do a trip like in the film "The Motorcyle Diaries" touring all over South America and right up into Mexico, and why not.... while I'm at it, might as well go throughout North America & through to Canada too. My only problem is cash and a teeny bit of fear for safety because of all the nasty things we have seen recently, as an Australian, in the last 2 years we have had young exchange students and backpackers either get murdered or go missing in Costa Rica, Greece and now Croatia as well as others I'm not too familiar with...but safety is certainly an issue which impacts decisions of travellers/tourists.
