Right now I would say Argentina. With all the drug problems in Mexico it would not be safe, plus you can get mugged pretty easily there. In Argentina you will see that people are more relaxed, like they don't give a f*ck about anything other than soccer.

In Mexico, they don't MAKE you stay in resorts, it's just that most North Americans are to afraid to venture out and see the parts of the country that wasn't designed for the tourists.
I've been to Mexico about twenty times and I've visited 18 of the 31 states, and except for the border areas, I love it all. I hope to retire there in a few years.

i think you have a lot more freedom in argentina. in mexico they make tourists stay at a "resort" with most vacation packages, if you are going to go with that. to me, that pretty much defeats the purpose of going to a different country, i could do the same thing in the united states...
