Which is the best country in Central America that you've actually been to and why?

Additional Details
My brother in law is from Argentina, though I've only been there once. I really meant Central America, but I guess I'll open it up to all of America.

I've run around down there alot. I like Panama. And Panama City is a very strange mix of poverty and riches. I love it. One time, I was in Burger King in Panama City, the poverty is extreme, and what the kids do is send in one kid. One kid looks around and then goes out. All of the sudden, that kid and about twenty others swarm in and steal the food right off of your plate. They are pretty smart. I really loved the guards armed with m-16's at every department store, and how you have to sign a ledger if you give a twenty dollar bill at the grocery store. oh, and steaks? forget it. but, nonetheless, i love panama, and i bought a place down there.

only south America...Columbia, Brazil, Argentina....those are some friendly people. They welcome you into their homes and hearts. I still have contact with some people I met 30 years ago.

Panama. The gatun locks are neat but Panama city is awesome. its alot more cosmopolitan than you would think. ps. ive even been inside the presidental palace.

Ive been to Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Belize. All of them have good things to them, I'd say Belize is awesome, and there was this island in Honduras that was beautiful, but Guatemala has the most adventurous things to do, and it has a little bit of everything mixed. I guess it all depends on what you like. I f you want to explore and see cultural things and do exciting stuff, Guatemala, if you want to party Belize, and if you want to just relax Roatan in Honduras.

Avoid Nicaragua!!!!! It's a rat hole......Costa Rica is great!!! Panama is ok.......El Salvador is nice......

The United States and Canada are North America!!!!!!

I have traveled extensively and lived in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. They are all small and you can tour all three in a short time. A great route is arrive San Pedro Sula (honduras) visit Roatan Island (paradise - off the coast) back to the mainland travel by bus to Copan Mayan Ruins, then to Guatemala - Antigua right outside of Guatemala City is a popular and enjoyable stop. You can either fly back from Guatemala City or retrace your steps.

If I had to pick one, it would be GUATEMALA! And let me add that a dollar goes a long way in these countries and you can travel super cheap.
