That's a tough question with all the various indigenous populations, African/European migrations over history...
Colombia is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the Western Hemisphere. The country has 85 different ethnic groups, creating a true melting pot of European, indigenous and Afro-Caribbean populations. Indigenous peoples own 24% of the national territory.
Brazil also has a very diverse population. |

Colombia for sure. It's got 'caribbean' and 'andean' ethnicities. The rest of the Spanish-speaking countries have one or the other, Colombian has both. It also has african-americans. |

I would say Brazil because of the blacks, Arabs and whites. Second I would say Guatemala and Mexico because the people are mostly indigenous Maya and there are also black people there. Oh and there is also a huge Asian population on the Mexico Guatemala border. |

As far as true cultural diversity, it would have to be Brazil and Argentina for their centuries of history with European, Asian and African immigrants.
As far as true ethnic (native) diversity, as a result of mixing of different groups, Colombia and Brazil have very high numbers, and Venezuela is also pretty diverse.
Countries like Peru and Chile have many indigenous groups but are not ethnically diverse due to their empire-building (and salvaging) history.
Uruguay and Paraguay are pretty diverse but not as much as the others listed, and the Guayana's (French, etc) are usually of European ethnicity.
Hope this helps! |

I'm not brazilian, but for sure it is Brazil.
Brazil has the most diverse ethnic in South America.
That is bcoz of the migration......almost all the european ships in the earlier XX century, the first harbours they touched were brazilian, and many pple stayed there.
Africans....germans..lebaneses...italian... portugueses and rusians are the most important part of the population in that country, plus the natives . |
