Paraguay is dirt cheap.....but I think you would enjoy Argentina more than anything.....Our dollar is very powerful there......I found everything to be pretty decently priced....plus its a beautiful country....I had a blast there and the people were pretty nice....
Buenos Aires is like being in a European city....I didn't feel I was in South America... |

If you're looking for super cheap, rule out Brazil and Argentina. They are both cheap by American standards, but not as cheap as other Latin American countries. Chile is more expensive as well. I would look more at Mexico and Colombia for cheap places to visit, but stay off the tourist-beaten path and stay in smaller towns. I'm not really sure about Venezuela, but I know it was cheap about five or ten years ago. Good luck! |
