I am planning to visit South america (except Brasil) but I am not sure which country I want to visit. Which cities you have visited and which ones you like the best.
There are plenty of beautiful cities in South America. They are all different and each one has different characteristics, so it makes it difficult for one to chose. Most people choose Buenos Aires: it is a beautiful city, modern yet classy. But there is also Bogota, another great city even when most people try to discredit it because of security issues. If you exercise common sense, you will truly enjoy this place, known for a great nocturnal life.
If you visit Peru, then you can go to Machu Pichu and see the ruins there. Small town with great history. Then there is Guayaquil in Ecuador. Great sightseeing, the people are very welcoming. And Cartagena in Colombia is a must too!! THe beaches and cultural history make it a very interesting coastal city. And there are plenty more, you just need to choose and save $ because you will have tons of fun... South America is a beautiful diverse continent!
