According Waldemar Esponiza, a recognized peruvian historian, it was created by Wiracocha Inka. It is a very extended idea that was his son, Pachacutec, whom created Machu Pichu. But recent research made by Espinoza confirms Machu Pichu was created by Wiracocha.
