Why are Latin American women like Peru, etc so much better than American in their attitudes?

They have a very giving attitude positive that is much more appreciative of men, traditional, submissive, and deferential. I am trying to understand this better as to why. Is it their culture and upbringing? They are more like, "What can I do for my man?" whereas the American women have an attitude more like, "What will you do for me?" My friend said this is more true for Peru and Mexico women than Argentina.

I totally agree with Lou.

If you love someone, you want the best for him/her without selfishness. Of course I know a big bunch of friends that think "how much can I get from this guy".

It is not that we are submissive, or that we lack independence, its just that we (or at least me, I am peruvian) grow up with the idea of equality. So many american women have a feminist trauma, they think that if they control their partner they are so much better, but actually, they are not. You should give if you expect to receive something in exchange. But of course, that is just my opinion.

It's our culture and upbringing. We're part of the post-feminist era so that's why some of us are demanding and snippy. In addition our nation was built on independence and pride, so of course we're controversial and strong.
