Why are ther so many Asians in costa rica?

i just recently went ther to visit family and all i see is chinese and japanese restaurants everywere and i hear the chinese mafia is big ther and many chinese and japanese everywere?

why so many?
not to mention the asian food in costa rica actually taste better than in usa lol

good question, i don't think the food was better than the chinese food in the USA, but i do think that it is better than much of the local costa rican food.

lots of chinese in panama and even guatemala too.

the west coast has so many....vancouver, SFO, LA, and of course central america......

it would be interesting to know the history.

one thing i do know is that so many people from around the world DO arrive in panama and costa rica. these countries offer ease of getting into their country to live i think.
