Why do a lot of Miss Worlds and Miss Universe Winners come from countries like Venezuela and India?

to thehighlander, sorry if i will answer here in your post question, i know as you mentioned that you only like a South American opinion but i'm an asian.... (forgive me for this, ok! peace!) i just like to cite my opinion!

well my views about your question, when i was young & now that i'm adult i always like watching Ms Universe, Ms World & other International Beauty Pageant & Venezuela became my favorite many times, although sometimes i also see other beauty fr other country so i picked other contestants too but there's always a Venezuela on my top 5 bet.

i love to go surfing & searching the net which sometimes i enter in few Venezuelan site about their people, cultures, tradition, lifestyle & belief. I found out that most women really take good care of their body, it is like a sin to them if they will find bellies on their stomach or spots on their skin. they are certainly beauty conscious (not health conscious which is different)... they have schools for beauty in which they have a teacher who will teach them how to walk like a professional model, the institution also will watch out for their diet, do many things like exercise to maintain their figure, they were even have limit in watching tv & doing other things. they do it before institution panel will agree if they will be qualified for their list in nominees. they will have a set of girls (perhaps 10-20 girls) preparing for the beauty pageant, if the panel are confident w/ their students then the school will make a registration for Ms Venezuela contest. (whew! it's kinda hard before any women could enter the contest, takes a lot of hardships)

One thing i read, i dont know if this is true although many venezuelans deny this that most women spend more money in taking care w/ their beauty rather than buying foods... that they would rather choose to have empty stomach than be ugly! (some were sort to plastic surgery rather than finishing studies)... Oops! not sure if this is true i just saw & read it!

Other things i found out, there's so many beauty parlor in any area than a restaurant or grocery.... c",)

Well, All contestants who run for miss Venezuela get free plastic surgery to perfect them, but even before all the plastic surgery, I'm talking about years ago, we still had the most beautiful women, There must be something in the caribbean water. XD, well, I personally do think that venezuelan women (and SOME men) are very beautiful and sexy....

cause usa women do tons of plastic surgery, venezuela is 100% natural and that looks 100% better that the huge boobs and flat nose, and the big butt, etc...!!!

simple, they have the genes for the conventional good looks. e.g. big eyes, naturally skinny (some) etc. i mean have you ever seen a indian with slit eyes? their eyes are all so big, big, big and the eyelids ._. source of envy for the single eyelidded.
