well with the music industry the way it is here in the usa why would you want to try to keep a career going in a country like columbia? especially as popular as she is here. her album sales are through the roof. in the us. columbia is a poor country so she has a much higher chance of makin money here..

She has a house in Miami and a house in the Bahamas. I do not know if she owns property in Barranquilla, Colombia but her family is there. Right now she is in Uruguay writing new music for her next album.
She has charaties in Colombia that she often visits and she is constantly traveling. I doubt she spends much time any where, rather than a little time every where.
My best guess is that It is safer and more profitable for her to live in the USA rather than Colombia due to her star status.
She mostly sings In Europe and South America I would say more so than in the USA.
