I just came back from there and everything I saw was American.I turned on the TV and all I saw was American TV shows,I went to the mall and it was like I was here in the USA.

i think it was always like that, well at least it was when i was there nine years ago, but now more probably because of the gringos that are retiring and buying property in panama and they wat them to feel like home i guess.... btw que tiene de malo Chorrera?? is not country or boring ok, that's where i grew up and btw is still part of the city.

Because the U.S. built the Panama canal and controlled the Panama canal zone from 1903-1999. As a result, I'm sure there was a lot of American influence in the area.

Because of the history of the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal Zone was american territory until the year 1999. The americans that lived here in those times are called "zonians".

really? hmm..well last time i went out there, i didn't really notice it that much, but then again, i did spend my time out in Chorrera, that boring countryside.
Quizas quieren ser gringos jajaja.....no estoy sorprendida si una Panamena se case con su gringo, muchas lo hacen ...por el dinero y pa salir de Panama. Y las pendejas ni ensenan a sus hijos a hablar espanol! como le pesa la lengue o que mierda! jaja me da tanto ravia!! que verguenza!
