Why so many people say that in Belize everything is expensive? ?
I want to know this country but I really need real information about its prices.
Maybe because those of us who have visited Belize have found that to be true. I live on an island in the Gulf of Honduras and have visited most of the Central American countries including Belize. Compared to many of the other tourist destinations in the Western Caribbean and Central America, Belize is quite expensive. I found that anything a visitor may be paying for, restaurants, hotels, rental cars, tours, rent, even souvenirs, are priced higher than you will find in most of the neighboring vacation spots.

It's not expensive if you don't go to restaurants.
If you buy fresh produce from local vendors it'll be fine.

That may be because comparatively speaking the Belizean Dollar is stronger in that it has an exchange ration of 2 Belize dollars to one American dollar. Also since it lacks the population of its surrounding countries it lacks a lot of the industrialization in these countries and imports a fair share of its goods. In general its best t to find out where the Locals go to do their shopping if you want to avoid paying higher prices.

I heard some about it, may be because is a country depends from UK.
