Why such a smal country like El Salvador is richer than other countries like honduras, nicaragua,and guatemala

**I Get What I Want**

Well for one El Salvador uses what they have to better the country and the quality of life for the people there. El Salvador is also very populated wich means that the 1600 american businessess that are stablished there are making alot of money wich helps the economy. Plus the country generates their own electricity and they have their own gas so they money of selling things like that toneighboring countries.

FYI:
El Salvador is not the most insecure country it was obviously people keep reading the same old newspaper but if you read recent updates the crime has actually went down and the country is very secure now that is why there is so much investment because in other countries lie honduras and nicaragua where people are extremely poor those businessess would go out of business!!!

Besides being densely populated, Salvador is also the most industrialized country in Central America. Most of it's neighbors export agricultural products instead of manufactured products.

Because Alvin, size is not important!! It all depends on the richness of the country, on its natural resources and the economy, etc. The BIG countries not necesarrily are the richest countries. We can't meaure the wealth of a country by its size, otherwise some of the countries in Africa will be richer than most of the european countries!

What an obejctive question. Please ask this question when there is no poverty at all in El Salvador, El Salvador is not apart from the rest of the countries of Central America in regards to how poor the people is in there. And look to which countries you compare. It would be something to admire if El Salvador would be richer than Colombia or Chile, but El Salvador is still years away to compare to the "rich" countries of Latin America. Stop making this questions of selfpromoting your country

Maybe because El Salvador adopted the US dollar as currency.

But there are some reasons that are true also: including that people living in that country are getting money from relatives they have working in the USA.

I cannot say that it is because of investment because El Salvador is one of the most unsecure countries in Central America as there are a lot of teenage gangs making crimes.
