Cuba is not open to the US.

Proposed Free Trade Agreement with the United States

A Trade Promotion Agreement between the United States and Panama was signed by both governments in 2007, but neither country has yet approved or implemented the Agreement.[ While the U.S. Congress was initially favorably disposed to the Panama pact,] the election of the anti-American Pedro González, and his possible link with to the assassination of US soldier Zak Hernández, to the presidency of the Panamanian legislature on September 1, 2007 has halted progress of the pact in that body.

You can build it in Panama or any other Central America country and take advantage of the CAFTA and this way you can use materials from the US and take advantage of the cheap wages in C.A.

Panama has the canal for internatioal shipping and a favorable government so far. Hold off on Cuba until Raoul shows his stripes.Never mind, Cuba gets raked by Hurricanes every year.

depends, are the cubans willing to settle for low single digit profits while american retailers make double digit profits on those goods?

will the cubans take domineering abuse from american retailers and pretty much humble themselves as slaves to walmart?

there is a lot of tolerance and humility required to partner with america. that's why its mostly the asian countries that partner with us.

no one else can stand it.

its not in the text books, but one of the most important elements of global partnership is compatibilty or at least tolerance from one side.

even sony, who sells under their own brand name gets less then 2% profit. lets just say if france was selling the ps3 it would cost $2100 (they like triple digit profits). /just to make the PS3 costs over $800. Sony sells them under $400.

So Cuba and Pan would have to have a long term plan and utilize every penny.

no you should create jobs in america.
