"They believe that Peru is a very beautiful country"?

I think people like the fact that it is full of mystery... As I talked to my non-Peruvian friends who have visited Peru, they said they were surprised to see that Peru had cities with tall buildings and malls, amazed after visiting La Reserva del Manu, and astonished after hiking the Andes.
Peru still has that mixture of cultures that makes it so interesting. Many people tend to think that all you'll see is Inca ruins and miles of dessert; but we have beaches, the jungle, and the Andes. A perfect place to visit, I think. And I'm not saying this because I'm Peruvian, but I've gotten to know several cities in different parts of America and I like what I saw in Peru... True that there are some boring sites too, but so there are in many other places. ;)

Peru is one of my favorite countries. All of the above answers tell why--incredible diversity--ocean, desert, Andes Mountains, Amazon basin. Lots of wildlife. Really beautiful people too.

Go!! if you get the chance

Of course it is. There you can find beaches, desert, jungle, highlands with lagoons, etc. The principal tourist attraction and now one of the new 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu. The food is great also.

Peru is beyond words for culture and beauty. Last year and the year before we did Cusco, Pisco(after the earthquake), Machu Picchu, Jungle trek, Lares Trek, and Ausangate Trek. We loved everything we saw and the people were very nice and friendly. There is no place in the world like this.

Absolutely! From the snow capped Andes to the Altiplano to the valleys, to the tropical rain forest, to the coastal deserts, it is a gorgeous country.
I might add that the people are quite beautiful as well. (to answerer Adyari: If that avatar you are using is your real picture, then you have proven my point!)

There are many, many street vendors, but I have never seen a beggar in Peru, in spite of the poverty.
