I really want to make this trip, just for 5 days, to Vancouver, because I want to visit the CW studios and hopefully learn what I need to study to work in there, that's what I want to do when I get out of college, work in the CW or something like that in Vancouver, but the flight is very expensive, and I would have to pay too the hotel, the food and other things, so if you please know any way I can get a buddy pass or something (or any info about working in the CW) I will really appreciate if you share it with me, thanks! |

Try Despegar.com, they have great deals, and if you have american VISA the ticket is cheaper, other wise, sorry about you the ticket will continue to be expensive even with a student discount.
For 5 days try low season, and you can also try to look flights departing from Puerto Vallarta, they are more frequently than from Guadalajara so it can become cheaper, and a bus from Guadalajara to Vallarta it's only 250 pesos by Quick...

There´s lots of cons about your traveling plans trying to balance cheapness and quickness. No easy way!. However I would suggest traveling during low traveling season, looking up night flights with lots of stop overs and long airport waiting periods. Also book up your flight a long time before ( 6 months or so) with a non refundable fare. First thing is to get there; once there then worry about where to stay, look for host housing in private houses with families. If you´re a female don´t stay at cheap hotels...go to churches and ask for help. |

You might try posting on CraigsList - Guadalajara or on some of the Lakeside boards (Coldwell Banker has a free Classified section on Chapala.com) to see if anyone is driving back and would consider a passenger. Expect to share gas expenses. |
