It is the best, you really don't need to be reach to have fun. There is a lot of great people, especially if you are a tourist. Not just because you are traveling and you don't have responsibilities at that time, but people are happy with what they have and they don't leave a stressful life like americans do. They can have beans and tortillas and they will be more than happy to have something to eat. People are more relaxed and like everywhere, it all depends on where you go (in regards to safety). |

For the poor, its grinding poverty, an emerging middle-class is hopeful, and of course, the rich get richer as it is anywhere in the world. Few Mexicans will ever get to swim with dolphins or enjoy the upper class hotels and restaurants. but they compose a rich history and happy family life. Get to know the people. |

Mexico is beautiful. i love it, that is why i live there 4 to 5 months a year, especially when it is cold in New Jersey,
in the tourist areas of Mexico it is expensive they chase the dollar like we do here, but off the beaten path dirt cheap, but also dirt poor in some areas,,is it safe,,well,, is new york or L.A. safe, common sense goes a long way to being safe,,if you like wearing jewelry and expensive cloths it may not be the place for you..
but if you like drop dead gorgeous beaches, mountains, culture and people it's great,,and the life there,,my Mexican friends like to use a word for it,,it is "tranquillo"
i am a chef in a resort area in new jersey and my job is high stress and high pressure which is why i so much love mexico,,nobody is in much of a hurry,,it takes me at least a week every year to get my mind and it's USA attitude out of my system but then it is paradise on a budget and the grey hairs i get here return to their normal color with the life there.. |
