NOYB NOW!

Are alcoholic drinks included in all inclusive resort packages?

More specifically...The Oasis Resort in Cancun. We're going this Summer and I was just wondering when they say food and drinks are inclusive, if they mean alcoholic drinks, too. Also, do they have excursions that are included in the package, or do you have to pay for them separate? If anybody on here has ever been, I'd love to know how everything went...good experiences and bad...any advice would be helpful! Thanks. :)

Oasis Resort Cancun does not specify on their site; I'd say if they do not specifically state alcohol included, then it is not.
Most of the reviews I read online were not very favorable either.
I did find one site that mentions beverages...
It only says domestic drinks. What is that? Dos Equis? Tequila?

I'd suggest the Palace Resorts instead. They are TRULY all inclusive; tours, airport transportation, top shelf alcohol, tips and even all the toiletries you need except deodorant.

Alcoholic drinks are usually included. Excursions are not included. You pay for those seperately.

porkupuss
if you are not offered alcholic beverages(upon showing proper I.D,its not all inclusive

Normally, YES. If you have questions about the real Cancun call 1-888-862-3806 for help booking rooms and all.
They will give you ideas for fun too like:

Definately the Swim with Dolphins, this is fantastic especially if you go to Dolphin Discovery on Isla Mujeres, as you have a 40 minute boat ride there and back with open bar and entertainment.

The Captain Hook Pirate ships are another fun thing to try.

A Jungle tour through the mangroves, with snorkelling over the Coral reefs.

If you´re into diving, then Call Ben Mooney at http://www.mayanaquadive.com as he knows some great dive sites.

Xcaret is a wonderful day out, as you get to enjoy an ecopark, with dolphins, turtles ect and then get to watch probably the best show in the whole of Mexico at night.

A catamaran trip with http://www.cancuncatamarans.com is a must, a day sailing and snorkeling, with buffet lunch on Isla Mujeres, open bar, a shopping trip and the chance to have your picture taken holding a live shark.

At night, try the Cancun Party Hopper, there are now 2 different versions going to different bars, and they are great fun.
Car rental at http://www.cancuncar.com

Hope this helps.

Most inclusive resorts do include alcoholic beverages, mostly national beers, cheap wine, and sweet drinks (margaritas, mojitos, etc). If you want Heineken, you will most likely have to pay for it.
It's always recommended that when you inquire about inclusive packages, you read the description of what the package includes. It usually says it since alcohol is a very important part of the package.

It varies with resort but usually included. Excursions are a ripoff and not included.

All Inclusive resorts in Cancun means that they include food and drinks, alcoholic beverages as well. This applies to mean domestic drinks such as Mexican beer, for example Corona, Dos Equis, etc., etc., and of course tequila. The beautiful thing about staying at an All Inclusive resort is not only are the meals and beverages included in the final price, but so are the tips. However, if you give your favorite bartender(s) and waiter(s) a few dollars once in a while, they will make sure to be your favorites for the duration of your stay. I also recommend that you leave a tip for the housekeepers, they work very hard and a little tip will go a long way.

Have fun planning your trip,

Check with the resort, but generally well drinks and non-motorized water sports

better that you ask directly to your travel agency o en internet..
coz in the sandal is ALLLLLL ... inclusive!
and some other resorts..

good luck and have fun!!

Cappagirl
Of course they are! Thats what 'ALL-INCLUSIVE' means...everything included...food...drinks...all of it.

but if you're unsure just check with the resort

It will usually depend on the resort. When I went we stayed at the Royal Islander. Alcoholic drinks were part of the inclusive package. When you sign up for excusions they will sometimes add them to your bill and you will pay when you check out, but again it depends on your resort. You should make a phone call to ask, because that way you will get a more specific answer.
I'm going to recommend, if you're adventurous, that you take a trip to Selvatica. You will zip line through the canopy, do a short mountain bike trek, and then swim in a cenote, where you can zip into the water off one of those lines. It's the funnest thing I've ever done!

Allie W
nope so sorry they are additional

querry
not usually; sometimes a complimentary glass of wine, but that's it.
