Get a world map. Look at where Mexico is. Now look on the map for the Philippines. See how far away it is? Why would you think that the two countries has anything in common? Other than, as someone else said, both were Spanish Colonies at one time???

im mexican married to a filipino, and even though our cultures may have very little similarities, we are not related. the continent these countries are located at should tell you enough.

In the sense that both countries were invaded and colonized by Spain, yes.

I know that Philippines is a part of Vice Royalty of Spain before Mexico gained independence.

After New Spain won independence from Spain, it was decided that the new country would be named after its capital, Mexico City, which was founded in 1524 on top of the ancient Aztec capital of MÃ©xico-Tenochtitlan. The origin of the name of the city comes from the Nahuatl language, where Mextli or MÄ“xihtli, a secret name for the god of war and patron of the Aztecs, Huitzilopochtli, in which case MÄ“xihco means "Place where MÄ“xihtli lives". Very different countries, customs, and traditions. One thing that they do have in common is that the Spanish invaded their countries.

during the centuries of colonial Spanish rule in the Philippines, The Philippines was supplied and administered trough Mexico, even after independence, there where close ties to the Philippines, The defense of the Philippines is the only time Mexico has ever had a foreign military campaign, during WWII. Culturally, Mexico and the Philippines share much of the colonial legacy. Even though the ties are close, Mexicans and Filipinos are different people.

I think so.
In the past there wher expose to each other.
And in the vocabulary there are a lot of words that pronounce the same, if not exact very similar and there is a reason for that
