Are mexican sent back to nothing when deported?

live in Southern California and deportation seems to be in after upteen years of iggnoring it.. well I think that it sucks for people that have children here and been here rather illegal or not. well. look the point of the question what if you have established a job or career down here.. do you have to start all over in mexico or is there some sort of housing and assistance program for people that get deported? if not that is a really jacked up thing to do to people. Especially knowing that the government allowed this sort of behavior for years.. now they want to act...LMAO @ US government... i feel bad if people are deported who has never committed a crim other than to seek a better life for there family. can you tell me if they are sent back to start over with no place to go?

They commited a crime by entering the US illegally. If they wanted to come here to start a new life, they could have immigrated like millions of others that did so legally.

They had an amnesty period already as well where they could go to the government and declare they were an illegal alien and request normal citizenship. They could also have joined the military and gained automatic citizenship for themselves and their family after their tour of duty. Many millions did so.

Those that have not done anything are primarily those that have criminal records in Mexico and do not want to return. Now they will never be legally allowed back into the US, because once they have been caught as being here in the US illegally, they now have a Federal Felony permanently on their record and may not return to the US ever.

By subverting the law, they brought this on themselves. Those that complied with the law and saught to be here legally have been rewarded. Those that chose to hide from the law I see no problem with branding them as criminals and returning them from where they came.

Nothing.

But don't ask any illegal immigrant q's on here, most people think their "opportunities" and "jobs" are stolen away from them by illegal immigrants. They don't realize that they just like using excuses for everything as long as they don't have to blame themselves for their shitty lives.

I agree with amazin'g, I am Mexican, i live work and study IN Mexico. For those Mexicans who cross illegally in the US, we all have to take the blame.. we Mexicans have a bad reputation for those bastards... They are lazy, they want someone else to figure out the solution of their problems, and their children (those we call pochos or chicanos) are rude, have no manners at all and they speak a slang that we REAL Mexicans nor Americans can understand easily. And they, when they come with their parents to Mexico, they feel they should be treated as gods, but they get a kick-in-the-@$$ when we treat them as the trash people they are... so, yeah, nobody likes illegals, on both sides of the border.

And answering your question... Yes, they are deported back to nothing.

Hi. I'm an American legally living in Mexico with an FM3 work visa. Not sure what I can add to this other than my 2 cents. First, "Just a friend" is only partially correct. There are some problems in Chiapas (on the border with Guatemala) with Mexican police abusing their power in regards to the illegal immigrants, however, if those illegals manage to get to the interior where I live near Mexico City, they are treated with respect and dignity. I talk with them when I have to go to the immigration office to renew my visa once a year. They are not caged up or anything like that. They are hardly even guarded. They just sit there waiting for their embassies to come and get them. Usually they are from Honduras. All were on their way to the USA. I always give them a candy bar as they don't get a lot of food. Anyway, my point is that if the illegals are being abused it isn't sanctioned by the government. I have found the police here to be far more courteous than the police were in Chicago who were nazi-like. About the problem with immigration in the USA...... Really, if you think about it, it's just PEOPLE, not a country, who are trying to make a better life for themselves. I don't agree with what they are doing, but I don't hate them for it either. You should ask yourself if you were in the situation like they are (the Mexicans), wouldn't you try to do the same thing to provide a better life for your family at all costs??? Life here is very harsh for some with a never ending cycle of poverty. I'm not saying that it's the same for all, but for some, yes.

The problem with immigration was created by the American economy. Do you want to pay more for your veggies? Or for your avacados? Or how about when you sit down in a restaurant, do you want to pay 20% more for your meal? If not, then you will continue relying on undocumented immigrants being employed in those industries and more. Think about it.

I try to do my part here in Mexico to help a few people by giving English classes to a few people for almost nothing. The fat cats like GM and Nestle allow me to survive here. I did the same in the states. If more people had skills like English, they would have a better chance for a productive life here in their own country. I did the same in the states working with refugees from Cambodia and Tibet (teaching English).
Are you doing your part, or do nyou just sit down in front of the TV every night?????

My 2 cents.

Yes they did commit a crime. They entered the US illegally! Don't feel sorry for them. I'm an American living in Mexico and the citizens here get medical care(all ages) and something similar to welfare. I've seen them using food stamps in the grocery store. But, 99.999% of Mexicans here in Baja work - some with 2 jobs. If the deportees are willing to work, businesses are crying for people to work here - professionals, construction workers, restaurant workers, you name it. The economy is booming. There are more jobs than people. And, Mexicans are doing well. The new luxury cars I see aren't those of us Gringos, they're driven by Mexicans who have chosen to stay in Mexico for the better life. And, Mexico doesn't just let anyone who wants to come to their country to do so. Immigration laws are strictly enforced here. Much more strictly than the US. If the American govt. adopted laws like Mexico, the illegal alien problem would drop significantly. I'm approved to work here, but I have to pay a yearly fee to stay here, show that I have enough income to support myself, and take continuing education in my field. If I don't do these things I will be deported! I don't qualify for government sevices because I'm not a citizen. I can't show up at a hospital, needing care, and get for free, like Illegals do in the US many times. I have to pay for it! It's time to stop feeling sorry for Mexicans entering the US illegally and start supporting the law.

Well sir maybe you should change this around to what if you were in Mexico for some period of time Illegally with a career wife and children. They'll ship you back after being in a Mexican prison to the US And I'll bet it won't be a nicely done as what the US is shipping the Illegals back.

Clearly you know little about immigration legal and illegal in both countries.

Before you start talking about what the USA does, consider that Mexico has it's own illegal immigration problem. It is illegal for people from central and south America to enter Mexico without a visa. When they get caught they also get sent back with just the clothes on their back. Of course the Mexican police will rob, rape and beat them first.

Yes it is so much worse here in the USA, you sir are a hypocrite. The worse part of that is you didn't even know it.

Liligirl
Born and raised in San Diego here. They get dropped off on the other side of the border. If they get deported a second time they get deported into the interior of Mexico. With nothing but what they had on them when they were picked up and, I would think, county jail might eliminate some of that before sending them on their way.

Gustav
I'm almost sure they get nothing.

ramblin is correct, people here that are against illegals don´t realize that all mexicans want, is a better life for their families!! Poberty is all over mexico! blame the mexican government! Please US citizens get in their shoes for a little bit.. If you lived in a country that you loved but had no good paying jobs, and you had a family that depended on you to bring food to the table,, would´nt you do whatever it takes to feed your kids? Do you think they are having fun here? THey left their families behind! do you think they would imigrate, risk their lives to come to a place they dont know, dont speak the language all of this for fun? all they want is a job in the US to provide food back home and they are willing to do the jobs that most people wouldnt dream of doing! They are not taking anything from you! At the contrary, it is proven that US economy need these imigrants! So it is time for racism to stop and accept the arsh truth. And it is not just mexicans that are hard working people, there´s people from Guatemala, EL Salvador, Honduras, that want the same for their families.

A lot of times they are sent back across the border, not even to their town of origin. Which means that once they are deported they have no money to make it back there, so many stay in border towns to try to get back to the states with their family.
When they go back, they go back with literally the clothes on their backs and whatever little money they have in their pockets.
The government is so corrupt and they offer no help for the poor. Many people that immigrate to the states are from the poorest of the poor, they come to this country to try to make a better life for them and their family. The rich stay in Mexico because they have no need to come here unless they are on vacation and they have tourist visas.

There is no reason you can't come here legally.

I am a second generation Mexican-American, and my parents came here legally.

Yes, it sucks over there, but that doesn't give you the right to break the law.

The United States is not really deporting that many people. There are only 2,000 INS agents in the ENTIRE United States. Compare that to the estimated hundreds-of-thousands (if not more) illegal immigrants that come to this country every year.

Many of the illegals that are over here choose to have families here, and when they do get deported they choose to leave their kids. It is the risk that they took!

And don't even get me started on the Mexican-American gang problems that we are having in this country.

This is a VERY complex issue and I don't believe most people know what the real immigration policies are in the US.

The people that come here illegally make a horrible name for those of us who came here the right way.
