I am A retired American living in Mexico. There are no trailer parks in my area, but there might be in Baja. if you are thinking of retiring to Mexico, and just concerned about housing costs, you need to know that in many areas you can rent a resonable 2 bedroom house for around $300 a month. If you avoid the touristy areas, and choose a smaller town near a big city, you can live modsstly but decently on under $1200.00 a month...some people do it on less. this includes going to the movies once a week, the symphony once a week, eating out a couple of tims a week, satellite Tv, internet access , all utuilities, gas, food. If you prefer to live in an area with many gringos, expenses are higher.. If you are planning to retire here and have other questions, you may email me if you like. |

Yes, there are. There are two in the San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato area. Try looking them up on the internet. |

There are still trailer parks along the Baja Coast but the condo builders are sweeping them out like so much dirt. I think are still some left in Angel's Camp and La Salina just south of Alisitos/La Mision. Occasionally a landowner will allow a permanent parking place for a trailer you will need to ask around...in my uptight gringo area its not allowed. Good luck. |

Not where I go...Its on the belize border in Chetumal....I have tried to explain to some of the people and they look at me crazy...I think they think I am talking about like an 18 wheeler trailer...Where I go There alot of people in wood houses with palm tree roofs...I respect them alot..Material things dont matter to them at all...Those are the best kinds of people to come across in life... |

Yup, just near the border. The less fortunate folk, or as we say down here....gente humilde (humble people) in Mexico couldn't afford a trailer. I live in the center of the country, near Mexico City, and have visited some less fortunate friends who live a lot different from what you are probably accustomed too. You know what? They're happy. Mexicans, for the most part, base their happiness on relationships (family), not on material things. The mindset is a lot different here. |

Yes, I'm fairly sure there are. Or just near the border. Some of them just live in really crappy houses.(I'm not trying to put them down, but honestly, It'd suck to live in a house with a dirt floor and chickens everywhere.) |
