I would take Mexican Pesos or US$ and you can get the very best rate by checking the Maximiser here http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/

Have a great time!

Mexican Peso. You would be able to change other currencies there, and hotels etc. would accept USD, but the local currency is the best.

its like (10~11 pesos) average 10.50 pesos by 1 us dollar

my 10 points xDDD

Well that depends on where you are arriving from. The Mexican Peso is the currency to use and at this time the best exchange rate is from the Euro. So, if you arrive from Europe great. If you are arriving from North America the US Dollar and Canadian Dollar are easily exchanged it is just that at the moment the Euro is strongest. No matter what you do change your currency to Mexican Pesos at an official bank or if one is not available change at a "casa de cambio". The lowest exchange rate will be with a vendor so try to change your money first.
Have a great trip.

Mexican peso. That is what we use here. If you try to do business in a foreign currency the locals are going to fleece you.

rainyandstormydays
It would be the peso. For every dollar you exchange you will get about 11 pesos. Some places that are farther into mexico won't accept us money. So, try to exchange money when available. If you're going somewhere not that far from the border you will find many places that exchange.

mexican dollar? lol

from England I normally bring pound sterling, and change it in the Airport, better rates..

if you are going to cancun, bring dollars, elsewhere bring pesos, or go to any bank to get your money changed

mace
