Best honyemoon spot in Mexico for September?

We would like to be able to visit some of the ruins, go scuba diving and maybe visit a couple of open markets. Anyone know a place that would cover all of that?

Cancun, Yucatan peninsula if you would like to get a gorgeous hotel you may try mayan palace, or royal sunset the second one is all inclusive so one doesnt have to worry about where to eat has got 2 facilities where to stay and they also arreange tours to the mayan ruins...Cozumel is very well known to be best for scuba diving...you can go to xcaret/xel-ha and swim with dolphins, there are many towns around and markets as well...If you would prefer something more colonial then my bet would be puerto vallarta ,no ruins there thou.4got to say cozumel is quite close to cancun one goes to playa del carmen and takes the ferry to the island!

Try Huatulco - not as touristy as Puerto Vallarta or Acapulco - but very laid back. We got married in this area and it was spectacular. Amazing beaches, turtle sanctuary and good snorkelling.

Mazatlan...not sure of the ruins but everything else is a go...in addition to parasailing and really nice restaurants.

September is high Hurricane season and also the rainy season in Mexico. Best bet would be on the west coast. Cozumel and Cancun were both hit hard this last season so they are not up to par. Cozumel is awesome any other time of year and has world class diving and snorkeling. We love it there, but would not go in September. Think about Cabo or some other baja destination. Have fun!

I would probably say Cozumel, its an island a couple of miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. This Place has everything you're looking for including scuba diving and Mayan ruins. If you're looking to stay on the main land I suggest Playa del Carmen, both of these are located on the Mayan Riviera so you will most likely find everything you are looking for here.
