The short answer is in your question. They are all the best
The entire west coast will get you all the entertainment you want.
Some of the east coast because not all places were created for tourists, Too many to list.
If you want something more intellectually stimulating , bus it around and and see the real Mexico and the ruins in Oaxaca.
If you want to go and get drunk and get tanned. All the resorts will surely give you that.
Cancun is great warm, beautiful with the bluest water anywhere
but it is what it is and is not very indicative of Mexican culture or history.
Acapulco has been around for a long time.
Saying you have been to Mexico when you have been to Cancun is like anyone saying , yes I have been to America when they have only been to Las Vegas.
As I say Cancun is fun city for all ages.
I sailed with a friend in a Catalina 470 up the west coast in 03 and have traveled extensively through 23 of her 31 states
Puerto Vallarta is great Ixtapa Zihuatenejo but Acapulco has the most things to do other than staying drunk on the beach and hanging out all night.
Note: Closing time in most ofAcapulco is when the last customer leaves.

Riu Palace Las Americas
Riu Cancun
Dreams Resort
NH Krystal
Sunset Royal
Gran Caribe Real
The Royal in Cancun
Barcelo Tucancun
I would recommend you look into these resorts first and then spread out at looking at Riviera Maya resorts.

In Cancun and the Rivera Maya my favorite resorts are run by "Palace resorts". The reason? My husband and I love to participate in the activities at the hotel, meet other guests staying there and the Palace offers that. Staying at one of their resorts allows you to go to their other resorts for the food and activities via a free shuttle. |
