Best time to go to mexico...? |
last october my mother and i took a trip to riviera maya(30 miles or so from cancun) at the end of october. it was really nice the whole time, but we were told that the whole week before we arrived it had rained. we are planning to go back, and we are thinking of august. it this is good time, or do you have any other suggestions? |

August is always hot and miserably humid.
Living here, my favorite time is November and December before the holidays. The weather is cooler, even cool at times. Hurricanes are much less likely as the season ends 11/30. Prices are lowest. And crowds are almost non-existent. For me, it's perfect.
My next favorite is April and sometimes May, for the same reasons, except the heat is pretty much already back on by then, though nowhere near August/Sept levels! |

July thru Oct. is the "rainy season " here.
My friends always come down - November thru May. Weather is paradise then. |

i've been to mexico 3 times :-) ...!
in the summer it's really hot, and the pools at the resorts are like reallyyy warm and it's kind of weird in a way.... but then we went over winter break (like during christmas...) and the water was kind of coldd!!!.. :-( but the weather was like perfect! it wuz cool in the night and warm in the day!!! it wuz awesome! then we went sometime in the fall or so and the water was PERFECT but it wuz a little hotter.... so idk my favorite... :-) it kinda depends on u! .... ;-)

august is close to hurricane season, or so they say. i have been on cruises, once in november and once in may and both are beautiful! May is a hotter month though you can google the weather in that area at that time of year and it will give you an average. hope this helps! |
