Ok I was born and raised in a tiny town in Sc moved to Mexico at the age of 16. Loved every minute of it! Like previous post said it is very corrupt, but you learn the areas and find out quickly what that bad parts of the city are. I moved to Mexico city and lived there 6 years until I got married and returned to SC. I ma small town girl at this point, but I would not trade My time In Mexico for anything. Loved it I have been all over the world at this point and I can honestly tell u there is no place like it. Our food our culture our people are one of a kind.

This is going to really depend on where you live. I have a house in a small village and it does not bother me. I have to drive 20 minutes to the store, but if you live in a very americanized area you might like it better. Puerto Vallarta is a good place. It is not much different from most cities in the US>

well i was bornin mexico lived in both mexico and us currently live in us and rather be in mexico. it all depends on where u went and how old and how much u knew the ppl around you ,..... im in love with everything about living in mexico now i rather work in the us and spend my money in mexico but aside from that mexico has wonderful perks that u dont find in the us and liberties or not :P which ever way u see it ,..... its true that u get away with everything in mexico aslong as u have friends in the right places:p

MEXICO IS REALLY A GREAT COUNTRY BUT DUE TO THE BAD CORRUPTION, IT MAKES IT WORSE THAN IT IS.
BUT THINGS ARE GOING TO CHANGE WITH CALDERON AS PRESIDENT OF MEXICO. THINGS HAVE CHANGED ALLREADY.
MEXICO IS A GREAT COUNTRY AND THE PEOPLE 95% ARE GREAT.
VIVA LA RAZA MEXICANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Born in Houston, went to live in Mexico when I was 12. I loooooved it. The people are nice, warm, they are sensitive not cold like most Americans. Academically speaking, Mexico is better up to high school. I have college credits from just junior high and high school. The youth isn't so corrupt like in the USA. You can live with your parents until you get married and people don't make fun of you it's something expected in the children actually. people take care and respect their elders until they die they don't kick them out to a home. With good skills you can make a good living over there, life is more relaxed and time doesn't run so fast like in the USA.

I could go on and on but it's just my experience, sorry you didn't like it. But please visit another city, Mexico is very diverse and I'm sure there will be some good experiences waiting for you.
