Bringing tequila to Mexico? |
I live in the US. I am attending a party in Mexico and want to bring 3 cases of tequila. I know it is produced there but I want to insure that I will have what i want. Is there a duty tax to bring in this amount. |

I work with a Tequila boutique here in San Jose del Cabo.
They have over 300 brands of tequila.
The only tequila you won't find, will be Patron, since is made for export only.
And we have many tequilas from small companies, that you will never see in the States. Some are amazing.

Why would you want to pay a duty when you could purchase the spirits on a local basis thru a reputable dealer.
Have your liquor chain make contact with the tequila distiller and find out the nearest dealer to your party site. Be a lot cheaper, more convenient and less hassle. |

Trust me any kind that they have there is far better than any you will get here in the states. Im not sure if you can even transport that amount of liquor over there. They may confiscate it from you and they you will have a huge loss. |

There are no better tequila in the world, then Centenario (Aniejo, Plata, Reposado). You can easily find it inside the Los Cabos airport at discount prices. If you buy it inside the states (anywhere), this brand will cost you over $50.00 a bottle. Take my advice, buy as many as need inside the Los Cabos airport and enjoy your party. You will NOT taste a better tequila today, then Centenario brand. To compare: Patron is GARBAGE. Take my word for it and let me know afterwords.

don't know about Mexico, but you do in Canada,so i imagine it holds true there ,too. It would probably be cheaper to buy it in Mexico. Just don't eat the worms!!!,or don't drink the water. |
