Bus from Cancun airport to Playa Del Carmen? |
I am flying into Cancun in February and need to find a way to get from the airport to our hoel (Occidental Grand Xcaret) in Playa del Carmen. All the bus websites I've looked at only run until 9:00 or 9:30 p.m., and our flight doesn't get in until 10:00 p.m.. Are there buses that go after that time? Also, where in Playa del Carmen do they drop you off? How far from my hotel? |

If you booked your vacation through a reputable company then they will have transportation already arranged for you. They will take you to your hotel/resort. If not, then no worries. It will be a little more expensive, but just take a taxi cab. You can negotiate the price with the drivers. If you go with the taxi they will drop you right off in front of the hotel steps. I will really suggest to take a cab, it will be a long way if you try to arrive by bus, the problem is the time that you will be arriving at cancun, from the airport you will need to take a bus to Playa del Carmen(one hour $8 usd per person), but the last bus runs at 02:00 p.m. https://www.ticketbus.com.mx/ticketbus/inicio.jsp (this is the offical bus web page but is in spanish) and then you'll need to take a taxi (around 25 minutes to arrive) so I will strongly suggest a taxi, it will worth it, your hotel is a little far from cancun, if your budget for transportation is low, what you can do is to take a bus from the airport to downtown cancun( 25 minutes $3usd) and change bus to Playa del carmen ( one hour $4 usd) in the bus station take a taxi (25 minutes) there are no buses to your hotel.

I pre arranged mine with Cancunshuttle.com and I was so glad I did. They're cheaper than Best Day and very reliable I had a good experience with them. Shop on line and compare it yourself..you'll know. It is better to pre arranged your transportation, really worth..they'll be right there waiting for you. |

There's a bus ADOlines (is the official mexican ground transportation) to Playa del Carmen at Terminal 2 or you can go to Cancun downtown terminal ADO and take a bus to Playa.Also you can take a bus called MAYAB. in ADOCancun terminal.The stop of ADO is in the centre of Playa del Carmen.The resort is located out of Playa del Carmen. |
