Can I travel to Mexico with a one-way ticket, as a British national, without a Visa?
I plan to travel to Mexico from England on a one-way ticket. I have applied for a Visa but I may not have it in time for the actual flight.
I flew from the US with a one way ticket without a visa last November. I was in Mexico for two months and then returned in the new year for another 3 1/2 months (2nd time from flew direct from Canada). Both times without a return ticket, both times with only the tourist FM2 visa (the one you fill out on the plane and have stamped by immigration).
I have also heard from others that are in Mexico with only the FM2 (180 day tourist) visas that they simply drive or bus to Belize for the day and re-enter to get another 180 day visa when their time is running out. I think that you are only supposed to get 180 days a year on the FM2 but from what they told me it wasn't enforced.
So I can't say what the actual rules are, just that it wasn't a problem for me. Also, as for rules in Mexico they are selectively enforced at best. I would guess that you wouldn't have a problem as long as the people at immigration don't think that you are there for any other reason than vacation.

All BAD answer's - Yes you can !!! Have a passport and your fine.
You will be given the forms on the flight for a 6 month tourist visa and when you land and go thru immigration and customs you will get your little card good for 6 months.
DO NOT LOSE this card. you WILL have to give it to them when you leave the country. there is some fine for every day you stay over the 6 months - Ive heard 3 dollars a day but don't know. Just don't lose it and don't stay past it and your fine.
Enjoy your stay and thanks for flying with us !!!
