Just be careful. Call the border patrol police and ask about laws before you go. Better safe than sorry.

I don't think you want to get caught carrying one around in Mexico. I know you can't bring a lot of stuff out like guns and knives out. Our tour bus guide told us this before we entered Mexico and some dumb guy didn't listen. He had knives and they pulled him out of the line and took him off.
And don't hand you license to a Mexican police hold it to the window where they can read it. It's you way back into the states and some will keep them or charge you to get them back.

Absolutely NOT! You will be arrested on site with any firearm! I used to live in San Diego and several friends were arrested on site! I am sure about this!
